Hundreds of low-income, low-literacy residents in Prince William County look to Literacy Volunteers of America – Prince William to help them better read, write, and speak English. These are life changing skills that heighten our student’s self-confidence and help them to participate, contribute, and prosper in the very communities in which they live.

Our work, however, comes at a cost. For example, we spend thousands of dollars annually to recruit, train and certify the volunteer tutors we need to instruct classes for an ever-increasing student enrollment. More dollars are spent annually on educational materials for both students and tutors.

Help support our mission and donate to Literacy Volunteers-Prince William today. Any donated amount moves us one step closer to providing someone with the gift of literacy.

On behalf of all our students, volunteer tutors, staff, and Board members, thank you for your support.
